How will winners of the challenge be selected?

As the apps are submitted, an initial review will be done to make sure all submissions meet the minimum eligibility requirements for the challenge. If they do not, the submitter(s) will be notified that changes are needed and they will be allowed to resubmit as along as the changes are received before the April 1, 2013 deadline. Eligible submissions will then be judged by a panel of USGS judges based on three criteria: Relevance, Innovation, and Ease of Use. Please refer to the judging section of this site for more information on the judging process.
